Sole F63 Treadmill Review – Strengths & Weaknesses

Sole F63 Treadmill Review – Strengths & Weaknesses

Did you hear the recent buzz about the NEW Sole F63 Treadmill?

If you want to find out weather or not this machine is your best choice, this article will give you real user reviews, strengths and weaknesses and my personal thoughts on the F63 treadmill.
You want to get in shape and lose weight, but gym memberships are expensive, and you’re not really all that into weight training? You prefer walking or running, but often the weather doesn’t cooperate? You’ve heard that Sole treadmills have really come into their own, and that you can get one at a reasonable price that won’t take up an entire room in your house? You like the idea of being able to exercise when you want, independent of weather and without the cost of a gym or health club membership?

Of course you want to make the best choice, so you’ve been shopping around.
I have too, and here’s what I found.
Now…

The SOLE F63 Treadmill

The SOLE F63 treadmill could be the next best thing to a health club piece of equipment.
Consumer magazines and reports acknowledge the SOLE F63 as being on of the best in its class, and a great value at $999.
SOLE Fitness has been building treadmills for decades (on par with Proform), and incorporates quality components in every treadmill product.

"The SOLE F63 features a strong, 3.0 HP motor that delivers speeds of up to 12 mph, and the treadmill features 15 levels of incline. When the treadmill is not in use, the deck locks into place (foldaway) to ensure that children and pets remain safe.
There’s also a stop switch for user safety.
Additional features of the SOLE F63 include a brilliant display with digital readout, a fan for user comfort, and built-in speakers that allow the user to hook up an iPod or MP3 player.

What’s New for 2016? The Sole Fitness App

Well this is it. An app for Android and iOS devices that connects with other fitness apps such as FitBit and MyFitnessPal. The app has Bluetooth integration, which makes it possible for it to be used with the Sole Fitness treadmill. The app stores all workout history in one secure location. It also lets a trainee’s mobile device serve as the treadmill control center.
Another feature of the mobile app is that it can be used for making workout selections then sent to the background while other apps such as those for entertainment are used to help exercise time pass by fast.

Features and Benefits of the SOLE F63

A good exercise treadmill provides the user with a great cardio workout along with options for strength-building and weight reduction.
Ideally, the user should be able to enjoy a basic cardio workout or go full-bore into a program that mimics an outdoor run that would include hills.
The SOLE F63 has six pre-set programs that offer a range of workouts from mild cardio (1.0 mph) to extreme fat burning. The user-friendly console lets the user know how fast they’re walking or running, how steep the incline, time, distance traveled, calories burned, pulse and pace. There’s a quarter-mile track feature, and a graph that shows the peaks and valleys for different programs.
Clearly, it’s not enough just to be able to get on the treadmill and walk or run – you want to be able to track your progress. The SOLE F63 display enables the user to do this effectively.
Another noteworthy feature is the foldable design, enabling you to fold up the treadmill and put it out of the way.

Here’s What People Are Saying

There are over 30 reviews of the SOLE F63 treadmill posted at amazon.com (a). One user described the SOLE F63 as the most solid treadmill available in its price range.
Amanda stated that she’d compared the F63 with the F80, and concluded that the F63 was the best deal for her purposes. She described the F63 as “near gym quality,” and stated, “the treadmill is one of the best investments I’ve ever made in myself.”
In other reviews, Mary said “I wouldn’t trade my new treadmill for anything,” and George said “Well built, full of options.” GeekExtraordinaire stated that the F63 did everything he expected it to do.
From these reviews, it would appear that customers who have purchased the SOLE F63 treadmill are pleased with the product and that it performs to overall customer satisfaction.

The Down Side

Not everyone offered glowing reviews of the SOLE F63.
Brad reported that the bolts were a little hard to line up, but he was otherwise satisfied. Other users were troubled by the fact that the SOLE F63 takes a few seconds to ramp up or down to the desired speed.
Additionally, users who reported running more than a hundred miles a week felt that they should have spent a little more and purchased theSOLE F65 or the SOLE F80.

Sole E25 Elliptical Review

Sole E25 Elliptical Review

The Sole E25 is the classic under $1,000 elliptical that every manufacturer makes. This means it's easier to compare them and give them scores. First opinions were impressive as it runs on rails and I like ellipticals that do that. Ellipticals that run on rails are sturdier and usually last longer.
Other web reviews have the E25 as thebest elliptical for under $1,000 so it's got good backing from elsewhere. Below I give my opinion with marks out of 5 to the right for every aspect of this elliptical.

Console
The console is large and well laid out. The read outs are all in the center with a blue background. This tells you your heart rate as well as speed, distance and everything else you would normally expect. The buttons closest to you are the start and stop which are in the middle. Other buttons will change the resistance and the incline. Plus there's a fan in between the ipod speakers.

To the left and right of the screen are the incline and resistance buttons. These will take you directly to the incline or resistance level that matches the number you are pressing. The incline goes up to 30 degrees and this will target your lower body in many different ways. The resistance level goes up to 15 and is applied electronically when you press the button on the console.
Programs
There are 10 workout programs to choose from. These include 2 custom and 2 heart rate programs. The thing about the heart rate control programs is that if you use the heart rate sensors on the handlebars these are very inaccurate. This makes those 2 programs pointless unless you buy a heart rate control strap which is not included. They don't cost too much (about $50) and the elliptical is capable of reading the signals from it.

This is why it gets only 3 stars which is an average rating. You can get ellipticals with many more programs and some which have the ability of downloading more. This doesn't take too much away from this elliptical though because you're only paying $1,000. Plus if you're one of those people who only use the manual program and that's what most people use in a gym then you'll be ok.

The programs are all listed and selectable on the console above the start and stop buttons. You can see the second group of buttons at the front in the picture. The name of the program is on the button and included in your choice is a cardio program. This exercises the cardiovascular (heart) system which will get you fitter the more you use it and you'll be able to workout for longer.

Features
The foot pedals have been designed to give you the perfect motion as you ride. You'll notice each stride feels natural and is very comfortable. This is because the pedals have a 2 degree slope inward. Sole technology and research has found that this how the foot wants to react on an elliptical so they built it into the E25.

What the E25 has that many ellipticals don't is the power incline. This is separate to the resistance. The resistance just makes the riding harder or easier whereas the incline will workout your lower body in different ways. It goes up to 30 degrees and this means your buttocks, calves, quads and thighs get a slightly different workout enabling you to have your body to how you want.

Another feature of the E25 which separates it from other ellipticals is that the frame is made from 38mm steel. This makes it very strong and has the ability to take a large user weight. This is also why the frame has a lifetime warranty. It's built to stand the test of time no matter how often it's used. This should give you confidence about the elliptical if you're thinking of buying.

Max user weight
The maximum user weight is 350 lbs or 159 kg. I think this is very good for an elliptical that's less than $1,000. I would have expected 300 lbs at best. I always say that you can tell a lot about an elliptical by the maximum user weight. It's a give away of how sturdy the elliptical is and therefore how long it could last. So350 lbs I'm quite impressed with.
Warranty
The warranty is lifetime for the frame, 3 years parts and electronics, and 1 year labor. This is quite standard for an entry level elliptical which is what the E25 is. The 1 year of labor is important as it is on every elliptical. This is in home laboras well. It's when you look at ellipticals costing $1,200 or more that you start seeing 2 years of labor so 1 year is perfectly acceptable here.
Value
At the time of writing this E25 is $999.99. This is an entry level elliptical and $1,000 ellipticals are everywhere. I think you're getting good value for the E25. It is feature packed with the incline as well as the resistance. You have a fan and a built in sound system. You get more than you'd expect for this price. That's why I've given it 4 out of 5 for value.
Overall 73%
The scores for $1,000 ellipticals are never quite so high. It's calculated using all the star marks. You can get good quality ellipticals at this price I just think this is the minumum you should spend. Overall the E25 is an above average ellipticaland one that will serve you well. I'm impressed with sole ellipticals and this one is at the entry level price point.

If a thousand dollars is all you have you can do worse than this E25. I would just ask everyone to pay more for their elliptical, there really is such a difference if you pay slightly more. Don't scrimp on this piece of exercise equipment that could last years and be a really great way to improve your health and fitness if you get the right one. So what if you've got your heart set on the E25? Well it's better than those cheap ellipticals you can buy for under $800.

Sole F80 Treadmill Review – Praise and Gotchas

Sole F80 Treadmill Review – Praise and Gotchas

Just to let you know, this is my NEW (2016) Sole F80 treadmill review (expanded and updated version of my very popular review from last year). And, as you may or may not know, Sole Fitness just released their brand new 2016 model, it features bluetooth capability and easy pairing with your fitness app of choice!

New 2016 model

Scroll down to find out; what’s the fuss about, what I like, what I don’t like – watch out, and my overall thoughts.

People who want to get fit have a lot of options to choose from.
If they can get to a gym, they can head to the gym on a regular basis.
If they don’t head to the gym on a regular basis, going on a regular jog around their city works just as well for getting some exercise during the week. Though, not everyone can head to the gym or go on regular jogs—or even cares to do that. Instead, they seek other options to get their workout fix.
That workout fix usually comes in the form of a home or commercial workout machine.
On today’s market, there are various types of home workout machines that suit different purposes, specifically the purposes that people might have when undergoing a workout. While some workout machines work well for some types of workouts, others may simply be better.
That includes the treadmill.
We mention the treadmill because it’s probably the first workout machine that people think about when they want to workout at home. The treadmill is probably the most popular home workout machine for that purpose. So, due to that, it should be easy to find a suitable treadmill for working out at home, right?
Well, sometimes that’s not as easy as it looks. It’s mainly because a lot of people don’t know where to look or where to start when it comes to finding an ideal treadmill for their home.
Luckily, there are a few high quality ‘brand name’ treadmills on the market that may be perfect for the type of regular workout that they’re looking to do.
One of those brand names includes the SOLE F80 treadmill.

Sole F80 Treadmill – What’S the Fuss About

So, what’s so good about the SOLE F80 treadmill? Is it really as good as the reviews say about it?
Well, there’s a reason why a lot of consumer SOLE F80 treadmill reviews consider the SOLE F80 the ‘best treadmill in its price range.’

The price range is around the $1,000 to $1,500 price range, if you wanted to know.
One of most notable features of the SOLE Fitness F80 is its folding treadmill design, which makes it a great treadmill to use in most homes (SOLE Fitness also manufactures non-folding treadmills such as theTT8). The folding treadmill design is known to originate from the SOLE F80’s original use in hotels and other establishments. The design suited the demands of hotels with guests who requested a treadmill for their rooms. Since the treadmill was mobile enough after folding, it was commonly transported between rooms in hotels and other establishments.
Thanks to its popularity in hotels and other establishments, SOLE Fitness started to manufacture their SOLE line of fitness machines for the home consumer market.
The SOLE F80 treadmill is naturally their version of their folding hotel treadmills made for the consumer market.
Of course, that’s not the only notable feature about the SOLE F80 treadmill.
This SOLE treadmill F80 model is especially noted for being quite user friendly and has powerful internal components that make operating the treadmill a much more smoother experience than comparable models.

New & Updated 2016 Model

If you are considering a Sole Treadmill, then you will be happy to know that a new mobile app has been introduced by Sole Fitness.
This mobile app makes it possible for you to transfer data from your treadmill to your smart phone. This mobile app can be used by anyone with an android phone or iOS device. The good thing about the app is that it can be together with other fitness application, such as FitBit andMy Fitness Pal. You can run the sole mobile app in the background of your phone, as you run other applications. This makes it possible to do other things with our phone, such as listen to music as you exercise.

Sole Treadmill F80 – What I Like

That’s great to hear! Can you tell me about the performance of the SOLE F80 treadmill? How good is its overall performance?
Sure!
The first thing that people should know about the SOLE F80 treadmill is that it’s a perfect treadmill for runners.
So, if you run on a regular basis, you shouldn’t feel any different using this treadmill than you’d feel running. That also makes this particular treadmill from Sole Fitness suitable for people who may want to run or jog on a regular basis, but can’t.
As for the SOLE treadmill F80 performance itself, it’s considered powerful and reliable for its price. According to fitness experts, the SOLE F80 treadmill is actually one of the ‘least expensive treadmill models that’s suitable for runners who want to train.’
The performance is driven by the treadmill’s powerful and upgraded 3.5-continuous-horsepower (CHP) motor and its 22-by-60 inch running belt.

That allows practically everyone to have enough room to workout without feeling too cramped. The running belt and its corresponding deck use the SOLE patented CushionFlex Whisper Deck Technology that helps absorb the impact from workouts with ease.
In other words, the technology turns this treadmill into a low impact one, making it suitable for people who need a lower impact workout.

What I Don’t Like – Watch Out

On an interesting note, the SOLE F80 treadmill does have a rather slow speed changing mechanism that’s said to make certain workout regimes, like interval training, rather difficult.
Thanks to the motor, the speeds usually range between 0.5 MPH to 12 MPH.
Most people that use this treadmill, however, don’t find too much of an issue with the speed discrepancies.
Also, even though not specific to the Sole F80, if you have children be careful and don’t let them play with the equipment (ref.)

Using the Treadmill on Daily Basis

Thanks for telling me that! What else should I know about using the SOLE F80 treadmill? What should I expect from using the treadmill on a daily basis?
If you want to know how the SOLE F80 treadmill can be used, know that it features an intuitive console that can efficiently programmed to suit your workout regime.
This console features an intuitive and rather ‘visually appealing’ layout that’s been the subject of praise by many fitness resources. That’s because the large 9.0-inch LCD display features information that shows all of the readout information at the same time, making it easy to read overall. Since the display is so large, it makes it much easier to track your performance and other important information while you workout.

You can also use the treadmill’s control console to program the treadmill to suit your workout.
It’s equipped with:
  • 6 standard workout programs
  • 2 cardio-centric (heart) workout programs
  • 2 custom programs that essentially let you program your own workout regime.
Besides all of that, the SOLE Fitness F80 also includes an MP3-compatible sound system that allows you to stream music from the treadmill when you’re working out. The SOLE F80 also has quick-set keys that make operating the console easy, not to mention the handrail mounted controls that help change the speed and incline of the treadmill.
Of course, the SOLE F80 is praised in SOLE F80 reviews for its durability, since the construction of the treadmills makes it simple to assemble and fold away for later use.
It also holds a weight limit of 375 pounds, so practically anyone can use this treadmill to help themselves lose weight.

New Sole F80 – Overall Thoughts

So, should you buy this treadmill? Of course that’s entirely up to you.
But, based on what I have seen, and other Sole F80 treadmill users experiences and reviews, I would without a shadow of doubt tell you that this is a good buy and a great investment.
It’s worth mentioning that you get a 30-day money-back guarantee so that you can try it out yourself – risk-free.
